Although gatherings look different this year, we are still planning several activities throughout the weekend!
Our theme this year is Mythology in the Mountains. Wild hair got you feeling like Medusa? Always wanted to ski in a toga? This is your chance! Come in costume for the Sunday races, starting at 10:00 am to be entered! Categories are Best Adult, Best Youth, and Best Group.
Free this year! On Saturday afternoon there will be three ski clinics offered, participants must supply their own skis, poles, and boots.
Meeting outdoors at the race course. It will take place after the last race.
Due to the pandemic, there will be no guided tours to the Spruce Hole Area & Yurt this year. The level of difficulty for this tour is typically Easy – Moderate. You usually will need to bring skis, poles, boots, water, and lunch. We hope to bring this event back next year!
All medals will be mailed to 1st Place winners, top female and male racers. Medals are awarded in 10 year age categories for adults and 5 year age categories for youth.
Top 6K Ski/6K Snowshoe combined racers will earn the Prince and Princess of the Mountain title.
Top 12K Ski/6K Snowshoe combined racers will earn the King and Queen of the Mountain title.
Categories are Best Adult Costume, Best Youth Costume, and Best Group Costume. Prizes will be awarded on the mountain after the Rookie Race on Sunday.
All Rookie Race participants will receive a participant ribbon. The philosophy of the Rookie Race is "IF YOU HAD FUN, YOU WON!". The goal of the Rookie Race is to help beginners enjoy the experience of skiing or snowshoeing on a race course.
